Card from May/June edition of Paper Crafts magazine

This is my take on Shanna Vineyard's card. I downloaded the cake pattern from here.http://papercraftsmag.com/. I didn't have the glitter foam so I made the frosting from cardstock, trimmed it with stickles and popped it up with pop dots. The sentiment I printed on my computer and added some glitter. The inside sentiment says: "Eat the frosting first". "Hope your birthday is so good you can taste it!"

It's a winner!!!!

My Cuttlebug "Be Inspired" LO was a winner. It's the first time I have submitted anything that won ( not that I submit a lot). Anyway I'm jazzed.

CKC

I'm off to the Creating Keepsakes Convention, in Mesa, tomorrow. I'm volunteering at the bookstore from 8am - 12 and then it's SHOPPING. Can't wait to see all the new goodies. Wish Susan and Circe and Danielle were going too. Too bad you are all in Callie.

Cuttlebug "Be inspired" challenge

The Cuttlebug challenge for this week was to use numbers. I had already started this LO with a picture from my grand-daughters 21st birthday, so I decided to enter it. They were all wearing red shoes and standing in front of the limo. I used the Cuttlebug Celebration stamps die cut and embossing folder and border folders. Papers are Falala from MM and Hot Tomato from Graphic 45. Clocks from Heidi Swapp.

Nutty or Crafty???

Have any of you ever done this? I had an idea for a card but needed brown flowers. Since the nearest craft store is 25 miles away, that was not an option. So, looking around I remembered I had some brown Hydrangeas in the hall bathroom. I took my trusty scissors and WaLa! Added some fabric covered buttons, cut the leaves from scrapbook paper, added a chipboard swirl and some swirls cut with my Silhouette and I had my card. I love beige and brown. The're my comfort colors.
